Literacy is much more than an educational priority -- it is the ultimate investment in the future and the first step towards all the new forms of literacy required in the 21st century. We wish to see a century where every child is able to read and to use this skill to gain autonomy." Irina Bokova
All the Tools You Need to Succeed
Our students need to be able to read and write in order to compete in the global economy. In class, we will practice reading and writing in order to build stamina. As we build stamina, we will continue to provide more complex text and rigorous lessons.
|
We will interact with text in a meaningful way. We will produce clear and coherent writing with purpose. Our reading and writing lessons will teach us skills that we can use across the curriculum and in the real world.
